Dorothy Peurifoy

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, at Terpening Son Chapel for Dorothy Peurifoy, 1105 Yates Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Peurifoy, 72, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 2 p.m. Monday Mrs. Peurifoy was born June 17, 1933 in Bledsoe, Texas; the daughter of J.N. Foster and Ocia Jacobs Foster. On July 7, 1951 she was married to David C. Peurifoy Jr. in Levelland, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1959 from Hobbs, NM. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 1988. She was an Operator for the Telephone Company and a homemaker. She attended First Baptist Church. Survivors include son David Peurifoy and wife Connie of Katy, Texas; brother: L.J. Foster of Lubbock; grandsons David John Peurifoy, Michael Peurifoy and Andrew Peurifoy; several nieces and nephews.
