Dorothy Norris

No public services are scheduled for Dorothy Margaret Norris, 3716 W. Main Street, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Norris, 96, died Monday, October 8, 2007 in Artesia. Dorothy was born June 28, 1911 in Artesia; the daughter of John Morgan Norris and Margaret May Gillespie Norris. She was a lifelong Artesia resident. She was a school teacher and member of West Main Baptist Church. Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her parents; by brothers Wayne Norris, George Rex Norris, James Norris, and Waylon Norris; and sisters Lucille Moore, Alice Norris, and Nella B. Taylor. Survivors include her sister Johnnie Mae Laman of Artesia; a niece Dorothy Laman of the family home; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
