Dorothy Haldeman

Dorothy Haldeman was born on September 23, 1923, and quietly passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Heartland Care of Artesia at the age of 89.

She was born in Carlsbad, N.M. to John I. Wake and Elsie Martin Wake. She married Victor C. Haldeman, Sr. in Carlsbad on January 18, 1941.

Dorothys parents, sister Florence French, halfsiblings Magdalena Livingston, Vera Nolan and adopted brother Buster Wake preceded her in death, and her
husband Victor passed away on May 30, 2010.

She is survived by her son, Victor C. Charles Haldeman, Jr. and his wife Kathy, and her grandson Casey Haldeman. She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Latter Day Saints Strangite, and was a long standing member of the BPO Does in Artesia.

She loved her family beyond measure and looked forward to every moment spent with them she also took joy in all animals, particularly her cats. She enjoyed a full life with family and friends and will be missed very much. No formal services are planned at this time.

The family has requested that donations be made to Paws and Claws.
