Dorothy Foster

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 29, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Dorothy Foster of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Foster, 93, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at LaVilla Retirement Center in Roswell, New Mexico. Mrs. Foster was born April 28, 1912 in Flat Rock, Illinois; the daughter of Frank Tigner and Martha McCormick Tigner. On Dec. 27, 1938 she was married to Robert Lee Foster in Carlsbad, N.M. She came to Artesia in 1921 from Flat Rock, Illinois. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1988. She was a Homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church of Artesia. She was preceded in death by brothers Basil Tigner, William Tigner, sisters Pearl Carr, Margaret Kessler and Violet Morriss. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews including: Mary Lou Stevenson, William Foster, Kathryn Cota, and Karla Semler.
