Dorothy Fay

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Dorothy Mae Fay, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Fay, 64, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Heart Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Dorothy was born August 4, 1950 in Ludlow, Massachusetts; the daughter of Albert Joseph LeCompte and Phyllis Mae (Lavigne) LeCompte. She came to Artesia in 2005 from Galt, California.

She was a training tech for the U.S. Border Patrol. She loved to collect baseball cards, loved her kids and her cats .

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Alan LeCompte, and a sister Baby Carol LeCompte .

Survivors include her mother Phyllis LeCompte of Artesia; son James Fay of Artesia; daughter Lisa Shores and husband Jonathan of Elk Grove, Calif.; brother Phillip LeCompte of Oklahoma; sisters Lynne Jewell of Oklahoma, Tina Roncalli of California, and Linda Dobbins of Artesia; grandchildren Garrett Shores and Nathanial Shores.
