Mrs. Waller, 89, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Doris was born April 26, 1924 in London, England the daughter of Thomas Lawrence and Lillian Price Lawrence.

Doris worked in many war effort related jobs in London during World War II.

On Sept. 1, 1946 she was married to Richard R. Waller in Piney Fork, Ohio. They came to Artesia in 1953 from Ohio. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 1, 1984.

She was a housewife and a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, secretary for the church for 20 years,

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Jackie Hancock.

Survivors include sons Glenn Waller of San Antonio, NM, and Terry Waller of Denver, Colorado daughter Vicki Parrish of Artesia 8 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren, and 1 greatgreatgrandchild.
