Doris Parsons

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 23, at West Main Baptist Church for Doris Parsons, Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Parsons, 78, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at her home. PRev. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Deacons of West Main Baptist Church. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday. PMrs. Parsons was born June 12, 1926 in Clifton, Texas; the daughter of Edward Freeman and Ruby Lovelady Freeman. POn Jan. 20, 1950 she was married to Robert A. Parsons in Hobbs, New Mexico. She came to Artesia in Oct. 1965 from Denver City, Texas. PShe was a Cafeteria worker for the Public Schools and member of West Main Baptist Church. PShe was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her husband Robert A. Parsons of the family home; sons Robert D. Parsons of Artesia, Ed Parsons of Artesia, and Jim Parsons of Artesia; sister Joy Rupp of Mt. Vernon, Washington; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
