Donna Kay Johnson, age 75, of Artesia, NM passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on July 10, 2012. The Wing Riders of Artesia will escort the family to the church at 10:00 a.m. Any bikers are welcome to join the escort. A memorial service will be held at Hermosa Drive Baptist Church on Thursday July 12th at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Gavin Vaughan, II officiating. Burial will follow at Hanson Cemetery, Comyn, Tx.
Donna was born on November 19, 1936 in Ottawa, Kansas to Ritchard and Irene Finch Morris. She was the oldest of three children. She married the love of her life, Claud Johnson on March 2, 2000 and resided in Artesia, building a life together that served as an example of love and dedication to all who knew them. Donna will be warmly remembered by her strong faith in our Lord and Savior, her thoughtful nature, ability to make everyone feel loved, and her numerous selfless acts of kindness. She was a loving wife, doting sister, nurturing mother, adoring Nana, caring friend the cornerstone of her family. Donna was a woman of many gifts and talents.
She is survived by her sweetheart and soul mate, Claud Johnson son and daughterinlaw, Ted and Amy Johnson son and daughterinlaw, Don and Lori Johnson daughter, Dora Johnson son and daughterinlaw, Ronald and Reba Swanner son and daughterinlaw, Bryan and Jackie Swanner daughter, Laura Swanner daughter and soninlaw, Sandra and Jerry Dickey daughter and soninlaw, Rebecca and Malcom Johnson son and daughterinlaw, James and Rose Atchley, son, Scott Atchley 32 grandchildren and 47 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ritchard and Irene FinchMorris.
