Donna Goodson

Mrs. Goodson, 68, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Donna was born June 3, 1945 in Jefferson City, Indiana the daughter of Glenn Porter and Bess Powers Porter. She was a longtime resident of Artesia.

On April 22, 1982 she was married to Bill Goodson in Carlsbad, NM.

She was a police dispatcher and was the first lady officer in the Lovington Police Department. She loved simple things, sunsets, calves, babies, and going for rides in the car.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronnie Smith and Richard Porter and a sister Mona Bell.

Survivors include her husband Bill Goodson of Artesia daughter DLisa Maples of Lovington, NM sister Glenda Carter of Artesia and grandchildren Dakota Keith Goodson and Autumn Meyn.
