Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Donna Claire Friesner, 1818 W. Hermosa Dr., Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Friesner, 73, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at her home. PPastor Richard Von Steinman will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Steve Cyrus, William Cyrus, Brian Shetterly, Chris Gomez, Dion Gomez Jerry Ortega Jr., and Brandon Ortega. PMrs. Friesner was born August 5, 1934 in Roosevelt, Minnesota; the daughter of Otto Grill and Esther Carlson Grill. POn June 6, 1953 she was married to Harold Friesner in Wyandotte, Michigan. She came to Artesia in 1976 from Williams, Minnesota. PShe was an Artesia Public Schools Cafeteria Manager before retiring in 1995. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the Lutheran Womens Missionary League. PSurvivors include her husband Harold Friesner of the family home; son Ronald Friesner of Artesia; daughters Debbie Cyrus and husband Steve of Artesia, Cindy Shetterly and husband Mike of Artesia, and Sheila Ortega and husband Jerry of Artesia; brothers Alton Grill of Roswell, N.M., Floyd Grill of Roswell, and Lloyd Grill and wife Gladys of Dardanell, Arkansas; sisters Leona Hammond of Wittier, Calif., Lois Kittle and husband Charles of Holly, Michigan, and Bernice Albright and husband Edward of St. Petersburg, Florida; 9 grandchildren Steve Cyrus, William Cyrus, Lori Terry, Shannon Gomez, Ashley Friesner, Brandi Shetterly, Brian Shetterly, Jerry Ortega, Jr., and Brandon Ortega; 6 great-grandchildren Danielle Terry, Carlie Terry, Chris Gomez, Dion Gomez, Riley Shetterly, and Draven Nichols; numerous nieces and nephews.
