Donna Barber

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Calvary Baptist Church for Donna D. Ellis Barber. Ms. Barber, 47, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Odessa Medical Center in Odessa, Texas. Rev. Rick Sullivan of First Baptist Church will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Ms. Barber was born February 13, 1961 in Carlsbad, N.M.; the daughter of Robert Wayne Ellis and G. Irine Pinson Ellis. She graduated from Artesia High School in 1979 and was a Registered Nurse in Odessa, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Birdie Pinson, Dorothy Petty and George Ellis. Survivors include daughter Kandice Kaiser Freeman of Artesia; son G. Eric Kasier and his wife Erica of Floydada, Texas; grandson Aidan Freeman of Artesia; parents Robert and Irine Ellis of Artesia; sisters Diana K. Harvey and husband Danny of Artesia, and Debbie Garrett and husband Kenny of Artesia; brothers Robert W. Ellis Jr of Oklahoma, and Ricky Ellis and wife Linda of Artesia; nephews D. Robert Harvey and wife Stacy, Kortney Garrett and fianc Megan, Joshua Garrett and wife Tammy all of Lubbock, Texas, Nathan Harvey and fianc Lykala, Brenden Harvey, Casey Ellis and Geno Ellis all of Artesia; nieces Kenzie Billberry, Kelsie Garrett of Artesia and Ashley Ellis of Roswell, N.M.; great-nephews Austin and J.D. Harvey, Kaleb Garrett all of Lubbock, and Bryant Billberry of Artesia; friend Walt of Odessa.
