Dominic Martinez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, August 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Dominic Jason Delgadillo Martinez, 1950 W. Maplewood Dr., Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Martinez, 22, died Sunday, August 4, 2002 at in Farmington, New Mexico. Deacon Pablo Merjil will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George J. Martinez, Joel Delgadillo, Gilbert Salazar, Santiago Zarazua, Neil Gonzales and Ryan Martinez Honorary pallbearer will be Victoria Martinez. Mr. Martinez was born November 29, 1979 in Grants, New Mexico; the son of George C. Martinez and Lourdes Delgadillo. He was an Artesia resident from 1982 to 1991 then moved to Tucson, Arizona. He was a construction worker and member of San Augustine Cathedral in Tucson. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church. A vigil service will be held in Bloomfield, N.M. at 7 p.m. Thursday. He was preceded in death by grandparents Baudelio T. Delgadillo and Rita Martinez, uncle Louis Delgadillo. Survivors include mother Lourdes Delgadillo of Tucson; father step-mother George C. Martinez and Joetta of Farmington, NM; son Santiago Jose Luis Martinez of Farmington; daughter Stephanie Marie Martinez of Tucson; brothers George J. Martinez of Tucson, Ryan Martinez of Farmington; sisters Tami M. Sanchez of Tucson, Tiffany Martinez of Farmington, Victoria Martinez of Farmington, Jessica Martinez of Farmington; maternal grandmother Irma B. Delgadillo of Artesia, paternal grandfather Polito Martinez of Grants; 6 uncles, 4 aunts and numerous cousins in New Mexico and Arizona.
