Domingo Acosta

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, at West Main Baptist Church for Domingo Urias Acosta of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Acosta, 66, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.

Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnold Soto, Jr., Daniel C. Boone, Timothy Boone, Carlos Soto, Adon Esquibel, Israel Marquez, Domingo Torres, and Albert Madrid.

Domingo was born July 12, 1950 in Mexico to Donaciano Acosta and Marta (Urias) Acosta. He was a longtime Artesia resident.

On April 22, 1979 he was married to Felicitas Pedroza in Carlsbad, N.M. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and siblings Candelario Acosta and Rosalio Acosta.

Domingo was a truck driver and hauled numerous things in his career. He was of the Catholic faith and had been attending West Main Baptist Church with his family. His love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children Mary Esquibel, Donisio Soto, Arnold Soto, Beatrice Madrid, Austin Boone, and Daniel P. Boone; siblings Santos Yrigollen, Manuela Marquez, Jose Acosta, and Merejildo Acosta; grandchildren Catarino Porras, Adon Esquibel, Marina Soto, Roxanne Soto, Crystal Soto, Dominic Woodward, Carlos Soto, Armold Soto, Jr., Salinda Fletcher, Mercedes Fletcher, Jessica Lopez, Valerie Burciaga, Lupita Estrada, Angelica Madrid, Anet Madrid, Leticia Hernandez, Angelica Boone, Daniel C. Boone, Porcelain Boone, Esperanza Boone, Owen Boone, Joslyn Rodriguez, Kayla Lucero, Savannah Boone, and Timothy Boone; and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
