Dolores Lopez

Dolores H. Lopez went to be with our heavenly father on June 1st, 2015.

She was born April 12, 1949 to Jesus Hernandez and Amelia Duran Hernandez in Tulare, CA and was a long time resident of Artesia. She was retired from the Artesia Public Schools where she taught Special Education.

She is survived by her husband of the family home, Arthur A. Lopez of Artesia, son Alvino Lopez and wife Lou of Artesia, daughters Amy Sharpe and husband Ty of Moorhead, MN and Sonya Lopez of Artesia, grandchildren Patrick Lopez, Andrew Lopez, Danielle Lopez, Kadyn Sharpe, and Daniel Aguilar. She is also survived by brothers Benny Hernandez and wife Valentina of Odessa,TX, Jesse Hernandez and wife Patricia of Artesia, sisters Angie Rodriguez of Tulare, CA and Connie Salcido and husband Fred Sr. of Grand Prairie, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Jesse V. Hernandez.

A rosary will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 6:30 pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday June, 4 2015 at 9:30 am with interment following at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Lopez, Andrew Lopez, Fred Salcido Jr., Eric Hernandez, Nicholas Flores, and TJ Palma. Honorary pallbearers are Danielle Lopez, Kadyn Sharpe, Daniel Aguilar, and all former students who were very dear to her.
