Dolores Delgado

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Dolores Armida Delgado of Artesia.

Mrs. Delgado, 57, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at her home.

Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

There will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Terpening and Son Mortuary. A Rosary will be held Thursday at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Dolores was born September 20, 1957 in Chihuahua, Mexico; the daughter of Zacharia Garcia and Maria Jesus (Sanchez) Garcia. She came to Artesia in 1981 from Texas.

On October 6, 1981 she was married to Jesus Delgado in El Paso, TX.

She was a CNA for hospice and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed painting, gardening, Sci Fi movies and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband Jesus Delgado of Artesia; parents Maria and Jesus Sanchez of El Paso, TX; daughters Denise Barrios and husband Jose of Coco Beach, FL and Rocio Menchaca and husband Alfredo of Jacksonville, FL; son Javier Delgado of Artesia; sisters Diane Sanchez of El Paso, TX and Marina Payne of Clarksville, TN; brothers David Sanchez of El Paso, TX and Abel Sanchez of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren Ava and Asher Menchaca.
