Diana Parrish

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 22, at Woodbine Cemetery for Ellen Parrish of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Parrish, 85, died Monday, September 19, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Michael Maurer will officiate at the services. No visitation is scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Parrish was born February 29, 1920 in Mineola, Texas; the daughter of Jess Fore and Bessie Jewel Blythe Fore. On May 10, 1943 she was married to Thurman A. Parrish Sr. in Roswell, N.M. She was a longtime Artesia resident. He preceded her in death March 13, 1994. She worked as a Nurses aide at Good Samaritan Center. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a son Thurman A. Parrish Jr. Survivors include her daughters Sandra Vandagriff and husband Ken of El Paso, Texas, and Wanda Reinhardt and husband Jess of Las Vegas, Nevada; son Larry Parrish of Artesia; sister Jessie Ketchell of Farmington, N.M.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
