Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at West Main Baptist Church for Dewey Allen Wilson of Hope, New Mexico.
Mr. Wilson, 82, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at Artesia General Hospital.
Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with a private family burial at his ranch in Hope. Pallbearers will be his family members.
Dewey was born November 2, 1932 in Lane, Oklahoma the son of J.T. Wilson and Pearl G. Hubell Wilson.
On December 21, 1954 he was married to LaVerne Engler in Alamogordo, N.M. They came to the Flying H Ranch in 1959 from Ruidoso, N.M.
Dewey was a Rancher and a member of Church of Christ and the Rio Felix Volunteer Fire Department. He was also an avid outdoorsman including hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents sisters Donna Sue Carry and Arbra Heard and a brother Ronald Darrell Wilson.
Survivors include his wife LaVerne Wilson of the family home daughters Auderey ONeil of Odessa, Texas, and Patricia Madden and husband Edward of Searcy, Arkansas sons Stephen Allen Wilson and wife Belle of Hope, Stanley Clinton Wilson and wife Debbie of Baker, Montana, Samuel Dewey Wilson and wife LeAnn of Artesia, N.M., and Seth Paul Wilson of Hope sister Linda Gail Henley of El Paso, Texas brothers Carroll Wilson of El Paso, and Barry Wilson of Artesia 22 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren.
