Delores Johnson

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, at Faith Baptist Church for DeLores Anna Johnson, 2113 W. Richardson Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Johnson, 83, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at her home.

Pastor Michael Elliott will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

DeLores was born December 20, 1928 in Hankinson, North Dakota the daughter of Arthur W. Milbrandt and Anne Sanders Milbrandt.

On July 25, 1953 she was married to Roy Allen Johnson in Wheaton, Minnesota. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by a brother Ed Milbrandt of Rosholt, South Dakota in 1992.

She retired in February 1983 as manager of KMart sports and auto departments in El Paso, Texas. She came to Artesia in March 1994 from Chaparral, N.M.

She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Artesia where she served as a Worthy Matron in 1999.

Survivors include a son Johnnie daughter Becky MacArthur and husband Danny of Artesia and a brother Donald Robertson of Kensington, Minnesota.
