David Weaver

No services are scheduled for David L. Weaver, 508 5. 26th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Weaver, 58, died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at his home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Weaver was born March 19, 1951 in Monahans, Texas; the son of Donald Leroy Weaver and Dorothy Jean Hagen Weaver. He came to Artesia in 1963 from Kermit, Texas. He graduated from Artesia High School in 1969 and from New Mexico State University in 1974. He was a production foreman Yates Petroleum for 22 yrs and after retiring from Yates he worked for TR Well service. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Kermit, Texas, the Roswell Skeet Shooting Club, an avid golfer and enjoyed fly fishing. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother Dorothy Weaver of Artesia; sisters Diane Louise Smith of Artesia, and Dona J. Laman of Artesia; nieces Barbara Ochoa and Cathy Smith; nephews Scott Neel, Jarad Neel and James Smith Jr.; 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.
