Mr. Thomas, 44, died Friday, February 3, 2012 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

David was born August 12, 1967 in Albuquerque, New Mexico the son of Arley Thomas and Mary Lou Dill Thomas. He came to Artesia in 1989 from Lovington, New Mexico.

He was a sheet metal worker in the heating and cooling industry.

Survivors include his parents Arley and Mary Lou Thomas of Artesia brothers Velton Salazar of Nashville, Tennessee, Elton Salazar of Cincinatti, Ohio, and Tracy Salazar of Louisville, Kentucky sister Lee Thomas of Artesia nephews Michael Johnston of Artesia, and Skyler Johnston of Artesia niece Candas Johnston of Artesia greatniece Emily Johnston of Artesia.
