David Hernandez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for David B. Hernandez, of Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Hernandez, 54, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room in Artesia, New Mexico. PFr. Richard Lifrak SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Heath, Shane Anderson, Jesse Hernandez, David Hernandez, Jr., Matthew Bailey, and Daniel Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfredo Hernandez, Jr., Richard Benavidez, Jesse Sanchez, and Edward Canales. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday. A prayer service will be at Our Lady of Grace beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday. PMr. Hernandez was born October 21, 1952 in Parral, Chihuahua Mexico; the son of Domingo Hernandez, Sr. and Felipa Bribiescas Hernandez. PHe came to Artesia in 1966 from Mexico. On July 2, 1977 he was married to Maria Martinez in Artesia. PHe worked as a Laborer for Helena, and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. PHe was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Alfredo Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife Maria Hernandez of family home; sons David Hernandez, Jr. of Artesia, and Jesse Hernandez of Artesia; daughter Anna Hernandez of Artesia; brothers Enrique Hernandez of Artesia, Roberto Hernandez of Artesia, Jesus Hernandez of Artesia, Arturo Hernandez of Artesia, Domingo Hernandez of Artesia, and Alfredo Hernandez of Artesia; sisters Soledad Talavera of Artesia, and Lucy Gabaldon of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Samera and Aubrey Hernandez both of Artesia.
