Services are scheduled at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 2, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for David A. Fierro, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Fierro, 53, died Thursday, August 28, 2003 in Lubbock, Texas. Fr. Richard Lifrak will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park with Military graveside honors. Pallbearers will be Joseph Flores, Anthony Flores, Steve Moreno, Oscar Moreno, Darren Fierro, Greg LaVarta, Mike Fierro, Eloy Fierro, and Jason Vargas. A rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Monday at Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Fierro was born April 20, 1950 in Artesia; the son of Manuel C. Fierro and Marta Almanza Fierro. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a security guard and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert A. Fierro. Survivors include his parents Manuel and Marta Fierro of Artesia; brothers Manual A. Fierro of Carlsbad, N.M. and Robert A. Fierro of Lubbock, Texas; and sisters Mary Fierro of Artesia and Veronica F. Baker of Brunswick, Ga. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 1.
