David Campbell

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel in Artesia, New Mexico for David Chandler Campbell of Roswell, New Mexico.


Mr. Campbell, 35, passed away January 24, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas.


Family members will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.


David was born October 25, 1983 in Dallas TX to Don Campbell and Mary Ann Dudley.David found and used his passion for music to not only inspire others around him, but to find solace in his everyday life. Once referring to music as "a barrier from the harsh realities of this world, to the imaginative visions of a situation." This was something that came natural to him, it was an important aspect of his life that he loved to share with others. David never met a stranger, and often used his abilities to compose music, as a gateway to help everyone around him.His love for his children was admirable, and inspirational beyond words. His desire to set an example for them never ceased. The love he possessed for them never failed to remind him of just how much more he had to give. David believed the greatest gift he had given to this world, were his 4 daughters, and wanted nothing more than to show his love to them. Proving that the strength that lies within them, is beyond any set backs they may encounter in life, always telling them: "Campbell's never quit"!

Despite numerous challenges throughout his life, all of our lives were so deeply touched by his unfathomable enthusiasm, his transcendent empathy & compassion, his gleaming energy & love, his roaring laugh, his quick wit & his relentless sense of humor. David had the biggest heart and the sharpest mind. He was one of the most encompassing souls ever lent to this earth. Each memory we hold of David is a blessing to us all.

Survivors include his Mother, Mary Ann Dudley of Artesia, NM; Father, Don Campbell of Roswell, NM; Wife, Jacqueline Campbell of Pflugerville, TX; Daughters: Ariyah Mendoza of Roswell, NM; Addyson Campbell of Roswell, NM; Lorilou and Magdalene Campbell of Pflugerville, TX; Siblings: Melynda Roberson of Artesia, NM; Kristi Nye of Austin, TX; Dustin Campbell of Hutto, TX; Kennon Esslinger of Roswell, NM; Christopher Teague of TX, Darrin Campbell of Lubbock, TX, and Steven Campbell of TX, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
