Memorial Services are scheduled at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Terpening & Son Chapel for David Wayne Binkley of Lubbock, Texas.
Mr. Binkley, 74, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Monty Leavell will officiate at the services.
There will also be visitation on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Terpening & Son Mortuary.
David was born August 28, 1940 in Littlefield, Texas; the son of David Washington Binkley and Lila Belle (Williams) Binkley. He came to Artesia in 1992 from Midland, TX and moved to Lake Palestine, TX in 2006.
On November 6, 1964 he was married to Jean Brown in Slaton, Texas.
He served in the United States Army National Guard.
He was an Office Manager for Wilbanks Trucking and a member of the Methodist Church. David enjoyed fishing and loved to watch golf and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rhonda Renay Binkley, and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include his wife Jean Binkley of Lubbock; son John David Binkley and wife Penelope of Artesia; daughter Sherri Pitts and husband Scott of Artesia; step-son John A. Mead of Stamford, TX; brother John Hadley Binkley of Lake Palestine, TX; grandchildren Jennifer Willhelm and husband Robert, Jacob Pitts and wife Tiffany, J.J. Fafrak, and Dalton Binkley; and great-grandchildren Reagan Pitts, Lexi Willhelm, Ryan Willhelm and Bentley Pitts.
