Daryl Carson

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 21, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Daryl Lynn Carson, 23 Pine Lodge Rd., Capitan, New Mexico. Mr. Carson, 48, died Friday, April 9, 2004. Fr. Paul Murtagh SS. CC. will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Carson was born July 6, 1955 in Murray, Kentucky; the son of Charles L. Carson and Yvonne Paschall Carson. On Feb. 2, 1980 he was married to Selena Caldwell in Artesia, New Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Artesia. He served in the Marine Corps. He was Owneroperator of Carson Trucking; member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; and coached Little Leage Baseball and Girls Softball. He was preceded in death by his father Charles L. Carson. Survivors include Selena Carson of Artesia; mother Yvonne New of Murray, Kentucky; son Daryl Shayne Carson of Artesia; daughters Michelle Lynn Carson of Anthony, NM and Raquel Marie Carson of Artesia; brothers Charles Keith Carson of Las Cruces, NM, Jerry Randy Carson of Corydon, Indiana, and David Edington of Las Cruces; sisters Carol Edgington of Las Cruces, and Lita Birdsong of Murray; and grandchildren Kylee Peters of Anthony, and Braden Vigil of Anthony.
