Services are scheduled at 10:00 Saturday, June 21, at First Baptist Church for Darrell Ray Wilson of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Wilson, 77, died Sunday, June 15, at his home.
Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Paul Lugo, Charlie Carter, Jason Carter, Cody Carter, CJ Carter and Brandon Wilson.
There will also be visitation at Terpening and Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 am on Friday.
Darrell was born June 23, 1936 in Rexroat, Oklahoma the son of Arthur Wilson and Josephine Estalla Elkins Wilson. He came to Artesia in 1941 from Oklahoma.
On August 19, 1959 he was married to Glenna Northcutt in Artesia, NM.
Mr. Wilson was a chemical technician and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and 2 nephews.
Survivors include his wife Glenna Wilson of Artesia sons Steve Wilson and wife Rita of Arkoma, Arkansas, Tracy Wilson and wife Amy of Lubbock, Texas, Darin Wilson and wife Rebecca of Piedmont, Oklahoma daughter Terresa Burton of Greenwood, Arkansas twin brother Harrell Ray Wilson and wife Fern of Artesia sisterinlaw Beverly Belshe and husband Dugan of Artesia 6 grandsons and 5 granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The American Lung Association, Habitat for Humanity, The Alzheimers Association or Gentiva Hospice.
