Darlene Mosley

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Terpening Son Chapel for Lela Darlene Mosley, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Mosley, 84, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her home.

Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Ledgerwood, Michael Smedley, Junior Smedley, John Wayne Smedley, Joey Smedley and Bob Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Smedley, Jackie Wayne Smedley and greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday .

Darlene was born October 22, 1929 in Hope, New Mexico the daughter of James Dunn Briscoe Sr. and Allie Louise Clemmer Sr. She was a lifelong area resident.

She owned and operated the Arrow Cafe and was a caregiver for 47 years. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Darrell Smedley, greatgrandchildren Angie Smedley and Colton Thacker.

Survivors include sons Jackie Lee Smedley of Artesia, and Joy Smedley and wife Kay of Kanes, Utah grandchildren Joey and Jennifer Smedley, Jackie Wayne Smedley and wife Shannon, Bill Smedley, Marcia Wilson, Cassie Burns, and Reanta Livingston greatgrandchildren John Waye Smedley, Michael Smedley, Junior Smedley, James Ahern, Robert Ledgerwood, Lily and Brenna Wilson, Bronson Livingston, Brandan Livingston, Byrdon Livingston, Angel Livingston, Alana Livingston, Asten Livingston, Malize Smedley, Lara Smedley, Joshua and Nancy Powell greatgreatgrandchild Orion Riggs
