Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eddy County Fairgrounds Building for Daniel C. Juarez of Artesia, NM.
Mr. Juarez, 93, passed away on October 30, 2017.
Frank Barrera will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
He was born in Artesia on November 23, 1923 to Ralph and Pabla Chavez.
Daniel was a member of the Armed Forced. He served as a tail gunner in a B-17 Bomber in World War II from 1942 - 1945. He married Catalina Corona on July 20, 1946.
Daniel worked as a car painter for Artesia Ford. He then became employed by Navajo Refinery where he worked for 27 years up to his retirement. Daniel was an avid fisherman who loved going on family vacations.
He was preceded in death by his parents. two brothers Raul (Dooley) Juarez and Cruz Juarez, four sisters Rachel Analla, Lucy Rascon, Mary Utterback and Lola Barrera, son-in-law Octaveo Caraveo and granddaughter Cori Caraveo Granado.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy Caraveo; his two sons Manuel (Danny) Juarez and his wife MaryLou and David Juarez and his wife Debbie; his brother Bricky Juarez and wife Stella; sister Virginia French of El Paso, TX; he had 18 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
