Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, March 13 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Daniel Ramirez Gonzales, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Gonzales, 77, died Sunday, March 9, 2003 at his home. Father Paul Murtagh will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mr. Gonzales God-sons and nephews, Ricardo Esquibel, Joe Esquibel, Ernesto Martinez, Jesus Hernandez, Miguel Gonzales, and Angel Gonzales. A Rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace. Mr. Gonzales was born December 8, 1925 in Artesia: the son of Francisco C. Gonzales and Faustina C. Ramirez Gonzales. On May 20, 1953 he was married to Manuela C. Martinez in Carlsbad, N.M. He was employed with City of Artesia Sanitation Department for 21 years and was a custodian with First Baptist Church for ten years. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church; and Cursillistas. Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a daughter and two brothers. Survivors include his wife Manuela M. Gonzales of the family home; step-mother Tiburscia Gonzales of Tulare, Calif.; sons Adan Gonzales and wife Emma and George Gonzales and wife Blanca all of Midland, Texas, Guadalupe Gonzales and wife Maria of Roswell, N.M., and Fabian Gonzales, Daniel M. Gonzales and wife Ethel, and Manuel Gonzales and wife Helen all of Artesia; daughters Angelita Cirabisi and husband Salvatore of Panama City, Fl., Martha Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, and Laura Watts and husband Ralph of Artesia; brothers Catarino Gonzales of Artesia, and Feliciano Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales and David Gonzales all of California; sisters Virginia Rodriguez, Lupe Yturralde, Pauline Salinas, Anita Mendoza, Mary Gonzales, Kathy Gonzales, and Grace Gonzales-OKeefe all of California; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
