Daniel was born on February 27, 1935 in Marfa, Texas; the son of David Valenzuela and Rosa Garcia.
Early in life, he learned the importance of hard work and instilled that same work ethic in all of his children. He enjoyed taking his family on fishing trips and spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. He loved watching western movies, caring for his beloved beagle-mixes Daisy and Paco (and the occasional neighborhood strays). He'll be remembered most for his unique sense of humor, story-telling, playing his harmonica and his bargaining skills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter in-law Lucy Bejarano, his brother Sam Bejarano, sisters Enedina Martinez, Elodia Rivera, and Emma Hernandez.
Survivors include his former wife, Aida Bejarano, and their children Guadalupe H. Bejarano; Selia G. (Raymond) Mariscal, Delma G. (Alonzo) Lopez, and Mary Ann G. (J.J.) Batie; brothers Gabino Bejarano Jr. and David Valenzuela Jr.; a sister Esperanza Marquez; 11 grandchildren, James, Stephanie, Valerie, Michael, Jessica, Gracie, Heather, Melanie, Venessa, Rena, and Jonathan, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
