Memorial Services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at First Baptist Church for Dana Leigh Carpenter.

Ms. Carpenter, 45, beloved daughter, sister, niece, and friend to all was called to her eternal resting place on July 19, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM.

Rick Sullivan will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Dana entered this world on February 25, 1971 in Artesia, NM, born to Bill and Katie (Cunningham) Carpenter. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

Dana was a part time employee with High Desert Services, and she was one of the clients of High Desert Services in Artesia. She formerly did carryout for Gregg's Supermarket in Artesia. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching TV programs of The Price is Right, Dr. Phil, Family Feud, and loved to visit on her cell phone with family and friends daily. She never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her mother Katie Baldwin in November 2005.

She is survived by her father, Bill and his wife Andie Carpenter of Las Cruces, NM; brother Christopher Carpenter of Las Cruces; aunts Gayle and her husband Art Schmidt of Las Vegas, NV, Toni Cunningham of Heath, TX, Norma Theisen of Littleton, CO; uncle Walt and his wife Perri Cunningham of Lakewood, CO; step-brother Jason and his wife Holly Baldwin; step-sister Sandy and her husband Brian Fry of Carlsbad, NM; 4 cousins and 3 nieces.
