Cynthia Hummel

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Valley Christian Church for Cynthia Othella Hummel of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Hummel, 59, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Pastor Steve Ormord will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Cynthia was born July 4, 1952 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Othel Olsson and Pauline Robertson Olsson. She was a life long Artesia resident.

On December 3, 2006 she was married to David Hummel in Artesia.

Cynthia was a homemaker and a member of Valley Christian Church. She also loved her cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband David Hummel of the family home son Chad Lattion of Artesia grandchildren Shelisty Lattion of Artesia, and Corey Lattion of Colorado Springs, Colorado and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, inlaws, extended family and friends.
