Courtney Ragsdale

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18 at First Baptist Church of Artesia, New Mexico for Courtney Ragsdale of Midland, Texas.

Mr. Ragsdale died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Ty Bean will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Peyton, Tony Colletti, Tim Baize, Mike Crouch, Rocky Speer, and Danny Isaacs.

Courtney was born July 8, 1951 in Artesia to Kenneth Ragsdale and Billye (Reneau) Ragsdale-Fox. He was a longtime Artesia resident.

Courtney was a Regional Manager for Enterprise Products after receiving his Bachelor's degree. He enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, Nascar racing, cars, motorcycles (Harley's), horses, old western movies, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Courtney was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Billye Fox of Artesia; son Kenny Ragsdale of Artesia; daughter Amanda Mayberry and husband Landon of Portales, N.M.; sister Linda Isaacs and husband Danny of Alba, Texas; grandchildren Lucas and Bailee Ragsdale of Artesia, and Zane and Addyson Mayberry of Portales.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
