Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday, December 30, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Corinne Briseno of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Briseno, 55, died on December 24, 2021 at her home in Artesia.
Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Luevano, Johnny Luevano Jr., Isaiah Briseno, Michael Fernandez, Tony Garcia and Junior Losoya. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 pm, Wednesday, at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 1 to 4 pm on Wednesday.
Corinne was born on December 26, 1965 in Artesia; the daughter of Johnny Luevano and Jane Martinez Luevano. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.
On July 25, 1992, she was married to Nick Briseno in Artesia, New Mexico.
Corinne graduated from Artesia High in 1983. Her lifelong profession was in retail and the banking industry. She was a spontaneous, fun- loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a proud, strong woman who lived life to the fullest and brought the best out of everyone. Her family was her proudest accomplishment. She had many friends and loved to dance. Her motto for life was: "Don't worry about the little things in life....just live it!".
She was preceded in death by an infant son Nikko Briseno.
Survivors include her husband Nick Briseno; father Johnny Luevano; mother Jane Luevano; a daughter Shantel Briseno; a son Isaiah Briseno; brothers George and wife Lisa Luevano and Johnny and wife Rebecca Luevano Jr.; sisters Connie Garcia and Marjorie and husband Michael Fernandez; and a grandson Grayson Young.
