Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 6, at Woodbine Cemetery for Cora Lea Davis, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Davis, 84, died Sunday, October 3, 2004 in Artesia. Father Herb Robbins will officiate at the services. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday. Mrs. Davis was born March 20, 1920 in Dimmitt, Texas; the daughter of H. E. Ansley and Edith Watson Ansley. On April 3, 1948 she was married to Lawrence P. Davis in Albuquerque, N.M. He preceded her in death July 5, 1983. She was also preceded by her parents; and by brothers Carol Ansley and J.H. Ansley. She was a seamstress and homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed needlepoint and artwork. Her yard was also her pride and joy. Survivors include sons Sug Floore of Artesia and Buddy Davis of Rio Rancho, N.M.; a daughter Floy Hobson and husband Harold of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchilren; and ten great-grandchildren.
