Consuelo Vazquez

Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4th.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Vazquez, 88, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at the Artesia General Hospital.

Interment will take place at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Antonio Vazquez, Arturo Vazquez, Jesus Vazquez, Hector Vasquez, Dominic Garcia, and DAngelo Garcia. Honorary
pallbearers are Mario Vasquez and Felipe Garcia.


Consuelo was born November 12, 1924, in Sombrerete, Zac. Mexico, to Sebastian Flores and Soledad Garcia.

On December 17, 1954, she married Jesus Mario Vazquez in Mexico.

She loved to walk, tend to her garden and was a dedicated and loving mother to all of her family.

Survivors include her children, Maria Vasquez, Connie Garcia and husband Felipe, Mario Vasquez, Antonio Vazquez and wife Erma, Hector Vasquez and wife Maria Antonia, Arturo Vazquez and wife Annette and Jesus Vazquez and wife Nora, Grandchildren, Dominic, DAngelo, Crystal, Angela, Clarissa, Erica, Stephanie, Jacob, Anthony, Alonzo, Samuel, Lillie, Anayssa, Alejandro, Aaron, Alyssa, Vivian and Brianna. Great grandchildren, Krystian, Lizabel, Rigo, Jayden and Diamonyque.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Mario Vazquez and her parents Sebastian Flores and Soledad Garcia.
