Concepcion Hernandez

Concepcion Brito Hernandez, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Abiquiu, New
Mexico at the age of 92. Services will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, NM, with interment to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.
Concepcion was born September 19, 1930, in Presidio, Texas, the daughter of Anastacio
H. Brito and Sixta L. Brito. She married German S. Hernandez on August 4th, 1954 in
Barrenos near Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
In 1964, the family moved to Artesia, New Mexico where they made their home for 30
Years, where they raised their seven children. In 2000, the family moved to Ponca City,
Oklahoma for four years and on to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for another six years in 2004. In
2011 they moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Concepcion was a seamstress by trade and
a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia.
She is survived by two of her siblings Amando Brito of El Paso, TX and Luz Emma Brito of
Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, her daughters Luz Elena Garcia and husband Aaron of Santa Fe, NM, Caroline Williams and husband Danny, of Tulsa, OK, Obelia Balda and husband Dave of Riverton, UT, and sons Luis Arturo Hernandez and wife Carrie of Artesia,
NM, Herman Hernandez and wife Lora of Rio Rancho, NM, and numerous grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death include her husband German Hernandez, son Caesar Hernandez,
daughter Marisela Hernandez, grandson Christopher Serich, and granddaughter Trinity
Serich.
Services will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Monday, April 24, 2023. Viewing at 8:30, Rosary 9:30, and Mass 10:00. Followed by interment at Twin Oaks Memorial Cemetery.
