Clyde Feezel

Services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Terpening Son Chapel for Clyde Feezel, 2614 Johnson Road, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Feezel, 89, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 12 p.m. Friday. Mr. Feezel was born March 6, 1920 in St. Elmo, Illinois; the son of James Jacob Feezel and Lucy Knaus Feezel. On Aug. 30, 1940 he was married to Eva Wilson in St. Charles, Missouri. He came to Artesia in January 1947 from Brownstown, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a loading foreman at Navajo Refinery, member of Fairview Methodist Church in St. Elmo, Illinois, and lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife Eva Feezel of the family home; sons David Feezel of Greenville, Texas and Tommy Feezel of Deer Park, Texas; daughters Catherine Patterson of Odessa, Texas and Janet Ream of Artesia; brother Elmer Feezel of Brownstown; sisters Elizabeth Johnson of Decatur, Illinois, Georgianna Schultz of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Ina Abendroth of St. Elmo, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
