Clifton Felkins

Services are scheduled at 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, at Terpening Son Chapel for Clifton Leon Felkins, 1820 S. 1st, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Felkins, 59, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at his home. Mr. Gary Standard will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Peck, Randy Peck, Don Carter,Jim Larkin, Robert Hnulik, and Robert Johnson. Mr. Felkins was born October 12, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado; the son of Walter Leon Felkins and Maxine Johnson Felkins. In July, 1964, he was married to Valory Hilton. He came to Artesia in 1977 from California. He worked as a driller in the oil field. He was preceded in death by his father on June 19th, 2002 in Cahone, Colorado. Survivors include wife Valory Jody Felkins of the family home; mother Maxine Felkins of Cortez, Colorado; son Michael Felkins of Artesia; daughter Shawn Hnulik and husband Bobby of Artesia; brothers Larry Felkins and wife Joan of Hobbs, NM, Steve Felkins and wife Judy of Farmington, NM; sister Shirley Twiley and husband Buck of Cahone, Colorado; 4 grandchildren Nikki, Dallas, Ty, and Shane.
