Memorial graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Woodbine Cemetery for Clifford Conley, 401 N. 26th St., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Conley, 88, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.
Mr. Conley was born December 24, 1922 in Gunlock, Kentucky the son of Willis Conley and Emily Shepherd Conley.
On July 21, 1954 he was married to Deloris Patton in Lackey, Kentucky. He came to Artesia in 1990 from Kentucky.
He served in the United States Army and Air Force during World War II.
He was a Radar Engineer and member of the Baptist Denomination, V.F.W., and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include his wife Deloris Conley of the family home sons James Clifford Conley of Placitas, N.M., Stephen Paul Conley of Ligonier, Indiana, and Barry Scott Conley of Artesia daughters Andrea Diane Spears of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, and Margaret Catherine Rader of Goshen, Indiana brothers Curtis Conley of Kendellville, Indiana, and Franklin D. Conley of Gonzales, Louisiana sisters Margie Cook of Wayne, Michigan, Lee Tillman of Thousand Oaks, California, Thelma Hoover of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Cilla Mae Boling of Crestview, Florida 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
