Cleo Brown

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, at Terpening Son Chapel for Cleo A. Brown of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Brown, 67, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room. Wayne Bedingfield will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Chris Brown, Bill Brown, Jim Hardimon, Charlie Williams, and Jeremy Williams. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Brown was born February 17, 1939 in Cougar, Oklahoma; the son of Earnie Brown and Elnor Anthony Brown. On Oct. 20, 1966 he was married to Sue Kasulka in Carlsbad, N.M. He came to Artesia 50 years ago from Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army then worked as a Pumper for McClellan Oil Company. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Sue Brown of the family home; sons Jerry Brown of Amarillo, Texas, and Chris Brown and wife Krissa of Amarillo; brothers Billy J. Brown of Hobbs, N.M., and Gene Brown of Artesia; sister Genelle Beattie of Bloomfield, N.M.; grandchildren Keeley and Kailyn Brown of Amarillo.
