Clarice Lattion

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, at Terpening Son Chapel for Clarice Lattion, 308 N. 43rd St., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Lattion, 90, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at her home.

Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons David, Matt, Chad, P.J., Rick, and Dennis.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Lattion was born December 15, 1919 in Willow Spring, Missouri the daughter of Oscar H. Collins and Cina Farmer Collins.

She was married to Elmer R. Petery in 1938 in West Plains, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1942. On June 18, 1943 she was married to John D. Lattion in Little Rock, Arkansas. She came to Artesia in November 1955. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1976.

She was a housewife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Margaret Reidhead and Bertha Clark, 2 brothers, 1 grandson and 2 greatgrandsons.

Survivors include sons Roger Petery and wife Joann of Hobbs, N.M., and Oscar Lattion of Kermit, Texas daughters Cora Tidwell of Artesia, Leoto Burch of Roswell, N.M., Ramona Mony Fuller and husband Casey of Artesia, Rebecca Sternadel and husband Paul of Lake Ivey, Texas, and Debbie Mitchell of Ardmore, Oklahoma brother Dewight Collins of Missouri sisters Ramona Harris of Missouri, and Joyce Collins of Missouri grandchildren Teri Vaughan, Lorie Herrea and husband Tony, Carla and husband Tom, Judy McNiel, David Hooten and wife Jacque, Donny W. Tidwell and wife Carolyn, Scott Tidwell, Matthew Hooten, Joe Hooten and wife Donna, Chad Lattion, Summer Langley and husband Dave, Tony Clark, Tiffany Clark, Kari Jo, Dennis Bliss and wife Tanya, Jenny Turpin and husband Thomas, P.J. Sternadel and wife Elysia, Jeremy Sternadel and wife Wendy, Ray Sternadel, Michael Sternadel and wife Karen, and Ricky Tetts 38 greatgrandchildren, 3 greatgreatgrandchildren.
