Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, at First Baptist Church for Clarence C. Sperling of Roswell, New Mexico. PMr. Sperling, 76, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his home. PRev. Ben Talley will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Todd Starkey, Mark Sperling, Randy Kinnibrugh, Chris Pearson, Cole Kinnibrugh, and Keith Kinnibrugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Boans, Mike Allen, Curtis Tolle, Dale Moreau, Don Mayberry, Jarrell Services Inc., Dyke Dodson, Bill Harrison, Roy Vann, Sr., and Curtis Priddy. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary beginning at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. PMr. Sperling was born June 5, 1930 in Dresden, North Dakota; the son of Bernard Sperling and Lena Domies Sperling. PHe served in the Unites States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. PHe came to Artesia in 1959 from Littlefield, Texas. On Sept. 25, 1969 he was married to Shirley Starkey in Artesia, N.M. PClarence was a Salesman for Jarrell Services Inc. for the last 15 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Roswell and loved to travel in his RV. PHe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. PSurvivors include his wife Shirley Sperling of the family home; daughters Lisa Keaveney of Sacramento, California, and Shawn Kinnibrugh and husband Randy of Artesia; sons Todd Starkey and wife Trish of Mancos, Colorado, Mark Sperling and wife Grace of Chulavista, California, and Kyle Sperling of Rosharon, Texas; brothers Richard Sperling and wife Charlotte of Grand Forks, North Dakota, James Sperling and wife Olive of Bemidji, Minnesota, Robert Sperling and wife Jennifer of Crystal, Minnesota, and Delmar Sperling and wife Carol of Puyallup, Washington; sisters Idella Kuchar and husband Raymond of Edmore, North Dakota, and Doris Trontvet of Edmore; grandchildren Andrea and Erica Keaveney, Kelly Wallace, Keith Kinnibrugh, Chris Pearson, Cole Kinnibrugh, Colton, Amber, and Trevor Starkey, Natasha and Zachary Sperling; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
