Cipriana Rodriquez Pacheco peacefully passed away on July 23, 2006 in San Dimas, CA. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Artesia, NM. Rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9:30. Father Paul Murtagh will officiate. Burial at San Marcos Cemetery. Mrs. Pacheco lived in Artesia for many years before moving to California to live with her daughter. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and belonged to the Third Order of the Franciscans and the Apostolado. Cipriana was preceded in death by her husband Narcisso, a son Narcisso Pacheco Jr., a daughter Frances Hernandez, grandsons Eloy, Erroll, and Larry Hernandez, a great grandson Eddie Aguirre, brothers Joe and Cruz Salvatierra. Cipriana will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Narcisso Pacheco and her son, Narcisso Pacheco Jr. who was killed in action in the Korean conflict. Cipriana is survived by 5 children that loved her dearly: Robert, Ernest, Edward, Juanita and Narcisso and her daughters-in-law: Gayle, Margo, Denise and Tammy. Cipriana recently had an opportunity to visit with many of her adored 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 28 great, great grandchildren when she celebrated her 95th Birthday on April 26th. Her sisters Ramona Ortega, Marcella Anaya, Mary Haines, and Ruth Friestad also survive Cipriana. Special friends; Virginia, Marie, and Kay. Cipriana loved flowers and her garden and even though she could no longer tend to her garden she made sure that it was well cared for. Her legacy is one of forgiveness, sacrifice and tolerance, never judging nor asking to be judged. In her daily prayers she dedicated her great personal suffering to peace in the world and to her childrens well being. Cipriana accepted the Lord's will to do as he chose, without complaining. She gave of herself to Gods work by daily prayer. In constant thoughtfulness, Cipriana remembered every childs birthday, every grandchilds birthday and every great-grandchilds birthday. At 95 years of age she could recite the birthdays of each child, where they lived and the names of each parent of the children. Although her hands were crippled with arthritis and in constant pain, she would personally hand write her letters to everyone. She truly loved everyone without reservation and asked nothing in return. We miss her every second of the day, we see her face in all the flowers and we still hear her sweet voice as she sang Las Mananitas to her children every year on their birthday day. We love you Mom. We miss you. May God give you peace.
