Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 14, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Encarnacion Chon Cabezuela Orosco, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Orosco, 75, died Thursday, February 10, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas. Pastor Manuel Carrera and Pastor Eulalio Flores will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jerome Miranda, Javier Miranda, Manuel Orosco, Jr., Danny Orosco, Michael Flores, Gabriel Flores, Joshua Orosco and Javin Orosco. Honorary pallbearers will be Beto Rodriguez, and Lupe Rodriguez. A prayer service is also planned for 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Terpening Son Mortuary. Visitation at the mortuary will begin at 2:00 P.M. Sunday. Mr. Orosco was born March 25, 1929 in Candelaria, Texas; the son of Francisco Orosco and Isabel Cabezuela Orosco. He came to Artesia in 1945 from Marfa, Texas. On May 23, 1950 he was married to Ophelia Flores in Carlsbad, N.M. He was a foreman for the City of Artesia Parks Department and was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God in Lake Arthur, N.M.. He loved hunting, fishing and all outdoors. Mr. Orosco was preceded in death by his parents, a son Manuel Orosco and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Ophelia Orosco of the family home; one son; three daughters; five brothers Rafael Orosco of Artesia, Elijah Marquez Orosco of Morton, Texas, Trini Palma of Mexico, Pedro Palma of Carlsbad, and Manuel Palma of Ft. Sumner, N.M.; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
