Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Charlie A. Jack Hanna, Jr., W. Menefee Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Hanna, 92, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Artesia. PMichael Joiner and J. T. Ross will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons Ronald Hanna, Russell Hanna, Tony Hanna, Brian Calaway, Brandon Hanna, Roddy Hanna, Chris Hanna, and Richard McKee. PVisitation at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday. PJack was born November 14, 1913 in Elk, New Mexico; the son of Charlie Anderson Hanna, Sr. and Rosa Lee Danley Hanna. He came to Artesia in 1934 from Hope, N.M. PHe married Bertie Walters on May 9, 1936 in Artesia. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1996. POn March 8, 1997 he was married to Beulah Forrister in Artesia. She preceded him in death September 1, 2000. PHe was an auto mechanic and member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. PJack was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Madron; brothers Sam Hanna and Ford Hanna; and a son-in-law Bill Boarman. PSurvivors include daughters Peggy Boarman of Williamsburg, Virginia and Louise Calaway and her husband J.W. of Duncan, Okla.; sons Homer Hanna and his wife Ellen of Clyde, Texas, Charlie Hanna and his wife Dolores of Abilene, Texas, and Doug Hanna and his wife Lola of Minot, North Dakota; 21 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the N.M. Christian Children's Home, 1356 NM 236, Portales, NM 88130 or VistaCare Hospice Foundation, 611 N. Canal, Carlsbad, NM 88220.
