Charles White

There will be no local service scheduled for Charles E. White of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. White, 69, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at his home.

Cremation is under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Charles was born June 20, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee; the son of Willie White and Gladys (Forrest) White. He was a long time Artesia resident after his mother died.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Norma Bowen, Mary Barnes, and Shirley Hamilton.

Survivors include brother-in-law and longtime care giver Billy Hamilton of Artesia; brothers Dunnie White of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Richard White of Cleveland; sister Dorothy Phillips of Kenner, Louisianna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctors and Staff at Artesia General Hospital who took care of Charlie, the staff of the home where he was at for the last two years, and the nurses at Gentiva Hospice.
