Charles Jurney

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park, for Charles Bud Jurney, 88 E. Kincaid Ranch Rd, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Jurney, 74, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Artesia.

Belton Mathews will officiate at the services.

Bud was born May 19, 1939 in Hagerman, New Mexico the son of Harmon L. Jurney and Lucy Gay Dabbs Jurney. He was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 5, 1965 he was married to Lois Boyd in Carlsbad, NM.

He was a an equipment operator in the oil field.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife Lois Jurney of Artesia son Harmon Jurney and wife Favi of Artesia daughter Gayla Jurney and her better half Benny Parra of Artesia 5 grandchildren Megan Thurmond and husband Joel of Carlsbad, Misty Jurney of Austin, Texas, James Jojola Jurney of Artesia, Jeff Parra and wife Sharaya of Artesia, and Michael Parra and wife Stephanie of Artesia 4 greatgrandchildren Carson, Brendon, Bryce and Brody.
