Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at First Presbyterian Church for Charlene McGary of Artesia.
Mrs. McGary, 81, died Friday, October 30, 2015 at San Pedro Nursing Center in Artesia, New Mexico.
Daniel Phelps will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.
There will be visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Bearden Sr., Rick Ranspot, Michael Ranspot, Daniel Bearden Jr., Greg Blevins, Johnny Blevins and Gary Parrish.
Charlene was born September 9, 1934 in Grandview, TX; the daughter of Charlie Allen Parrish and Gladys (Newsom) Parrish. She was a longtime area resident.
On April 9, 1955 she was married to Jesse McGary in Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
She was a housewife and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sigma Alpha Sorority. Charlene liked to paint, sew and cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Donovan McGary.
Survivors include her husband Jesse McGary of Artesia; sons Robert Stephen McGary of Artesia and Stacy Dale McGary of Artesia; daughter Donna Kay Bearden of Carlsbad, NM; brother Gary Parrish of Cameron, TX; sisters Mary Dean Sowders of Malvern, Arkansas, Roma Dunn of Granbury, TX, Ellen Madron of George West, TX, Eddie Lou Blevins of George West, TX and Bobbie Ann Ranspot of Cameron, TX; grandchildren Jennifer McGary, Tiffany Carbajal, Shannon Marquez and Daniel Bearden Jr.; great-grandchildren Nolan Cockrum, Jonathan Cockrum, Korey Bearden, Mia Carbajal, Amelia Bennett, Raylyn Bearden, Dominic Cockrum, Rahylyn Bearden and Christian Cockrum.
