Cecilia Ramirez

August 29, 1975 — January 14, 2021

IN OUR HEARTS
We thought of you today
but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence
we often speak your name.
Now all we have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake
with which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping
we will hold you in our hearts.

Cecilia “Ceci” Ramirez passed away at St Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, on January 14, 2021, at the age of 45.

Ceci was born in Artesia, NM, in 1975, where she remained a life-long resident. She was a loving daughter, a dedicated wife, a fierce mother, a beautiful sister, and a great friend. Although she was taken too soon, she lived a life rooted in love of family and her faith in God. Ceci was proudest of her kids and was their constant cheerleader in life and sports. She was also a fun-loving Grandma and the best Tia. No matter when or where, Ceci was the coolest person in the room. She will forever be missed.

Ceci is survived by her parents, Trinidad and Rosa Herminia Gamboa; husband, Frank Ramirez; children, Michael Gamboa and wife Cristal, Matthew Gamboa, Daniel Gamboa, and Aryana Ramirez all of Artesia; and stepchildren, Cisco Martinez, Jennike Ramirez, and Edward Ramirez of Fort Stockton, TX. Siblings are Manuel Gamboa of Albuquerque; Javier “Harvey” Gamboa of Loraine, TX; Roberto “Bobby” Gamboa and wife Heather of Artesia; Cristina Vega of Artesia; Arturo Gamboa and wife Angela of Albuquerque; and Alma Gamboa and partner Vincent Perez of Albuquerque. Ceci’s ten grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, and countless family and friends will miss her dearly.

Ceci has gone on to meet her big brother, Ricardo “Richy” Gamboa, and her grandmother “buelita”, Rosa Diaz, who were waiting in Heaven. She was also met by her father-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 21st, at Terpening and Son Mortuary, from 3-4 pm. Ceci was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where services will be held on Friday, January 22nd, with the rosary at 9:30 am and mass at 10:00 am. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include her sons, brothers, and nephews. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.

Que descanses en paz con los angeles, Ceci.
